On the morning of September 11, 2017, the Sixth Seminar (22nd in total) of Scientific and Technological Development Research Report in 2017 was held in the Academic Report Hall 1015 of SISS. Research fellow Fan Chunliang of China Academy of Science and Technology Development Strategy Research was invited to deliver a report at the SISS, Zhang Conghui, deputy secretary and deputy general director of SISS and leaders of relevant divisions and offices of STCSM participated in the seminar, and research fellow Li Wan, deputy general director of SISS presided over the seminar.

　　

　　Mr. Fan Chunliang presented a splendid report with the title “Some Dimensions to Understand the Science and Technology Development in the United States”. He talked about the main pattern, experience and achievements of the interaction between the government and the scientific and technological sector in the technology innovation and development in the United States on the three main aspects of scientists participating in public affairs and making of science and technology policies, the relationship between the structural function of the U.S. government and science and technology innovation, and the important roles played by the U.S. technology consultation and consultants in the development, as well as the enlightenment to us.

　　

　　The report was followed by the free exchange session, the participants did heated questions and answers and discussions on issues of learning the experience of the United States in the development of China, innovation of science and technology management system and policies, and interaction between the national economic system and the science and technology innovation.
