In the afternoon of April 2nd, Marcelo Clovis Magnou Pérez, Consul General of the Consulate General of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay in Shanghai visited Shanghai Institute for Science of Science (SISS) with his colleagues. Chen Haipeng, the vice director (Presiding) of SISS, Wu Yingying, the deputy director of Science and Technology Development Research Center, Zhuang Jun, the director of the Industrial Innovation Research department, and relevant researchers joined the meeting。　

　　Chen welcomed the arrival of Consul General Marcelo and the delegation. Marcelo introduced the situation of technological innovation in Uruguay. Wu Yingying and Zhuang Jun respectively introduced the main research directions of SISS and the progress of research on technology foresight. Both sides exchanged views on the basic advantages of Shanghai and Uruguay in the fields of nanotechnology, agriculture, and biotechnology, and also discussed topics such as the exchange between the Institute of Science and Uruguayan think tanks.　

　　Meng Lijie, Tang Difei, assistants and translators of the Consulate General of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay in Shanghai, and Lu Bingyan, a staff member, also attended the meeting.
